What size frame should I order?
Measure the item(s) you wish to frame. Every item has a horizontal and vertical measurement. You should give us the size of the item without adding any allowance to it. Every frame is cut with a small allowance to allow for ease of assembly. If the artwork has a mat on it give us the outside dimensions of the mat. If there is no mat, measure the outside of the art. If it is canvas stretched on stretcher bars you may need to add in the overlapped canvas in the corners as this additional thickness may increase the size Do not use the size stamped on the stretcher bars.

How deep a frame do I need?
You will need a frame that is deep enough so that the art, mat (if any), backing, glass, etc will fit into it. This depth is called the rabbet depth and is shown on the profile pictures.

Do I have to order in full inch increments?
No, you may order fractional sizes in 1/16” increments.

Is there an extra charge for fractional sizes?
No, but the price is rounded up to the next full inch.

What if the color frame I ordered is not what I thought it would be?
Colors on this website are best approximations. Every computer operating system and monitor will reflect colors differently. Returns due to dissatisfaction with a color are subject to a 20% restocking fee & return shipping/handling/insurance fees are your responsibility. To assure accuracy in the style and color frame that you are thinking of ordering we recommend that you order a small frame or a 6 inch pair of the frame in question.

How do I assemble the aluminum frames?
To assemble the aluminum frames a standard screwdriver is all that is needed. Graphic instructions for metal frame assembly.

How do I assemble the wood frames?
Each wood sectional frame has a groove cut in the corner into which a plastic wedge is inserted. plastic wedges are included with your order. The plastic wedges replace the traditional nails but wood glue is still needed. You should be able to push the plastic wedge into place with your thumb or tap it very lightly with a hammer. Before doing so however apply wood glue in the corner and in the groove. Then push the wedge into place one corner at a time. You can adjust the corner slightly to line up the two sides. Wipe off any excess glue and allow the glue to set before going on to the next corner. You must make sure your wood frame remains square as you join it.
